We want all of our Residents to enjoy high quality, professional care in a comfortable, homely environment. That’s why ‘Our House is your Home’.
Providing the highest quality of care
Your care needs will be carefully assessed, in discussion with you, by our highly trained Care Staff. We have close working relationships with local GPs and Nurses, reviewing and updating Care Plans regularly.
Putting residents’ needs first
Residents are at the heart of everything we do at Bankfoot. We really get to know each Resident so that we understand your needs, interests and preferences – when you like to get up in the morning, how you take your tea, how do you like to spend your time, what you like to eat.
Bankfoot is a small charity, all of our money is used to provide the best care for Residents in our beautiful old building.
Our Staff Team is trained & supported to offer you the very best care.

Residential Care
Residential Care means long-term care provided in a care home. It’s for people who may need assistance with their personal care, such as help with washing, dressing, eating, going to the toilet.
With support from the local Nursing Service, Bankfoot is able to provide support & assistance with the management of a range of health conditions. However, Bankfoot is not a Nursing Home.

Dementia Care
Many older people develop some form of dementia, needing gentle support and prompting alongside assistance with personal care.
We have a great deal of skill and experience in providing dementia care and our secure Courtyard Garden gives Residents a safe place to sit outside.

Respite Care
Respite Care is a service that enables a family member to take a break from their duties as a full-time caregiver.
It allows the ‘cared for’ person to receive the support they need in a Care Home, on a temporary basis.

End of Life Care
End of life care supports people in the last weeks or months of their life. It enables people to live as well as possible and to die with dignity. Delivered with respect and compassion, our care is tailored to your needs and preferences.

Our Accommodation & Care charges are, currently, £1300 pw; payable 4 weekly in advance by Standing Order.
If you receive Free Personal Care (currently £248.70 pw)) then this will be paid directly to Bankfoot by the relevant Local Authority, with you responsible for the balance.
Charges are reviewed annually or when deemed necessary by the Board of Directors.
You may be eligible for funding support from your Local Authority, it will be able to advise you on this and also provide independent advice on making decisions about Residential Care; please see link below.

The first 4 weeks of your stay at Bankfoot is viewed as being a Trial Period. If you wish, your contract can be terminated within that time.
