Life at Bankfoot House
Comfortable lounges, with plenty of natural light and lovely views.
An older building, Bankfoot has a lovely mix of rooms and spaces. A lift is available. We have 2 large lounges, one on each floor, both with great views. And our large Dining Room also looks out to the Moffat hills.
Some of our bedrooms are in the older part of the building and others in the new wing. We encourage Residents to really make the bedrooms their own, so they are very different.
In the first floor Laundry Room, all Bankfoot’s laundry and garment care is undertaken by our staff team.

Residential Care
Residential Care means long-term care provided in a care home. It’s for people who may need assistance with their personal care, such as help with washing, dressing, eating, going to the toilet.
With support from the local Nursing Service, Bankfoot is able to provide support & assistance with the management of a range of health conditions. However, Bankfoot is not a Nursing Home.

Dementia Care
Many older people develop some form of dementia, needing gentle support and prompting alongside assistance with personal care.
We have a great deal of skill and experience in providing dementia care and our secure Courtyard Garden gives Residents a safe place to sit outside.

Respite Care
Respite Care is a service that enables a family member to take a break from their duties as a full-time caregiver.
It allows the ‘cared for’ person to receive the support they need in a Care Home, on a temporary basis.

End of Life Care
End of life care supports people in the last weeks or months of their life. It enables people to live as well as possible and to die with dignity. Delivered with respect and compassion, our care is tailored to your needs and preferences.
