Meals prepared with you in mind

We understand just how important it is to have great quality, nutritious food and our Kitchen Team, under the skilled supervision of Head Cook, Janice Caryle, takes great pride in what it produces.’ Our House is Your Home’, so we build our menus around the choices & preferences of Residents.

All nutritional requirements and special diets are catered for.

There may be some days when you don’t want any of the choices on offer, you might just want a boiled egg so we’ll fix that! The Kitchen Team talks regularly to Residents, getting feedback on what’s provided and adjusting menus accordingly.

Home Baking, Snacks, Fruit and Drinks are available at any time.

  • Monday

    • Lentil Soup or Fruit Juice

    • Pork Strogonoff or  Mince served with

    • Potatoes, carrots & peas

    • Yoghurt or Ice Cream

    Tuesday

    • Vegetable Pie, served with Provenal Potatoes,

    • parsnips & baby corn or Toasted Sandwiches

    • Pineapple Upside Down Cake, with Custard or

    • Chocolate Mousse

    Wednesday

    • Potato Soup or Fruit Juice

    • Chicken Curry with Rice/ Potatoes or Cottage Pie

    •  served with turnips and green beans

    • Yoghurt or Mousse

    Thursday

    • Corned Beef or Cold Ham, served with Dauphinoise

    •  Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts and Hot Beetroot in White Sauce

    • Trifle or Ice Cream

    Friday

    • Tomato & Sweet Pepper Soup

    • Fish & Chips, served with Peas

    • Yoghurt or Mousse

    Saturday

    • Quiche or Lorne Sausage. Served with Stir Fried Vegetables,

    •  Creamed Spinach and Lyonnaise potatoes

    • Banoffee Pie

    Sunday

    • Roast of the Week, served with Roast Poatoes,

    • Cauliflower Cheese and Carrots

    • Meringue Roulade

    • Soup or Open Sandwiches

    • Rice Pudding

    • A Selection of Scones & Cakes

    Tuesday

    • Poached Egg on Toast or Sandwiches

    • Cheesecake or Scones with Jam & Cream

    Wednesday

    • Scampi served with Chips and Salad Garnish

    • Fruit Scones or Angel Delight

    Thursday

    • Toasted Sandwiches or Soup

    • Teacakes

    • Fresh Fruit Salad or Lemon Meringue Pie

    Friday

    • Chicken Bake, served with Rice or Soup

    • Pancakes

    • Fruit Fool

    Saturday

    • A choice of Filled Rolls

    • Fresh Fruit Salad or Mousse

    • A Selection of Cakes

    Sunday

    • A choice of Sandwiches

    • Yoghurt

    • Scones and Tray bakes

  • Home Baking, Snacks, Fruit and Drinks are available at any time.

Residents are welcome to ask for alternatives if the choices offered are not suitable.

In addition to Breakfast, Morning & Afternoon Tea & Coffee is served with cake/biscuits. Snacks & Drinks, including Fresh Fruit are available at any time.

  • Our experienced Kitchen Team prepares all the food in our Bankfoot Kitchen. We try and source good, fresh food as locally as possible – our meat comes from Wallace Butchers (Moffat), the Fishmonger comes weekly with fresh fish for our ever popular ‘Fish & Chips Friday Lunch’.

  • The Kitchen Team talks regularly with Residents and adjusts menus. And, whatever is on the menu, you can always ask for something else.
